Boys Basketball: Short-handed Dreadnaughts fall at Saline

The Dexter boys’ basketball team headed to Saline on Tuesday night a little short-handed and that certainly was a factor in a game the Dreadnaughts hung around in until the fourth quarter. Dexter trailed just 33-29 after three quarters before Saline outscored the Dreads 23-16 in the final period for a 56-45 win in an SEC Red Division matchup.

Saline scored 13 points from the free-throw line in the final period. They also hit four triples in the first half.

Brennan Parachek had a huge night for the Dreadnaughts. He finished with a team-high 16 points including 11 in the second half. Cal Bavineau knocked down two triples and finished with 12 points. Ty Rychener scored nine and Evan Haroldson had five points.

Dexter faces a tough Skyline team on Friday at home. They also play Saturday at Chelsea against Summit Academy.
