Boys Swimming: Dreadnaughts bounce back with victory over Bedford

After a close loss to Ann Arbor Huron last week, the Dexter boys’ swimming and diving team splashed back with an impressive 107-76 win over SEC rival Bedford at Wylie Pool on Thursday evening.

The Dexter foursome of Adam Bergen, Grady Wheeler, Otto Krueger and Jack Potsos took second in the opening medley relay with a time of 1 minute, 44.64 seconds.

Dexter took the top three spots in the 200 freestyle with Jack Haidl first (1:58.40), Eric Smaby second (1:59.42) and Owen Ragnes third (2:03.05).

Adam Hauser won the 200 IM in 2:02.48. Krueger was third (2:21.23) and Potsos was fourth (2:24.08).

Matthew Resende touched second in the 50 free (23.13) and Tristan Lorincz was fourth (24.74) with Ben Curtis fifth (24.83).

Cole Warren won diving with 289 points.

Resende was second in the butterfly (53.70) with Dylan O’Connor fourth (59.80) and Wheeler fifth (1:09.68).

Lucas Greatorex won the 100 free in 52.99. Lorincz was third (54.42) and Smaby fourth (54.96).

Hauser won the 500 free in 4:56.38 with Haidl third (5:09.62) and Krueger fourth (5:20.87).

The Dexter team of Resende, Smaby, Haidl and Lorincz won the 200 free relay in 1:38.10.

Greatorex won the backstroke in 59.54 with Curtis third (1:02.84) and Bergen fourth (1:03.27).

Wheeler won the breaststroke in 1:11.54 with Potsos third (1:15.27) and Devon Durliat fifth (1:18.02).

The Dexter team of O’Connor, Hauser, Lorincz and Greatorex took second in the 400 free relay in 3:33.74.
