Baseball: Dexter knocks off Tecumseh 6-4 in SEC White contest

Dexter showed some moxey on the diamond on Wednesday.

After the Dreadnaughts took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, Tecumseh grabbed the lead with a four-run fifth inning. But the host Dreadnaughts came right back in the bottom of the fifth with two runs and added a run in the sixth for a 6-4 win over the Indians.

Dexter had nine hits and two errors. Tecumseh had five hits and one error.

Cam Rosen led the Dexter offense with three hits. Braeden Fuson, Cole Arnedt (two walks), Nathan Deleruyelle, Brennan Parachek, Zach Gullekson and Joey Tessmer all had hits for the Dreadnaughts. Evan Krolewski scored two runs.

Parachek started on the mound and didn’t allow a run or hit in three innings of work. He also had five strikeouts on 56 pitches. Avery Berkebile went three innings and allowed five runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Arnedt pitched the final inning and recorded two strikeouts and no hits or walks.
