DIY Holiday Cards for Teens & Tweens
Get in the holiday spirit with your own card making kit.  Kit includes everything you’ll need to get creative at home including a variety of supplies and design ideas, along with craft materials to make an ornament.  Teens and tweens in grades 5 through 12 may register on our website until November 24.

Holiday Decorations Craft Kits
Holiday craft kits for grades K through 5 will be available from December 10 to December 16.  Call from the Library parking lot and we’ll deliver them to our outside table or you can pick them up inside.  Registration is required on our website beginning Monday, November 23.

Make a Cricut Shaker Card
Follow along as Mollie teaches you how to make a winter-themed card using your Cricut® machine.  Shaker cards are simple to make and can easily be modified for all occasions.  Registration is required on our website.  Zoom details will be emailed prior to the program.

Winter/Holiday Story Time
Join Ms. Krista on our facebook page for a fun morning of picture books, flannel-board stories, songs, finger plays and other activities celebrating winter and the holidays.  Geared for ages six and under but everyone is welcome.

All Star Readers
All Star Readers Book Club for grades 3 and 4 will meet again on Thursday, December 17 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Registration is required and begins on Thursday, November 19. The book we will be discussing is Stargazing by Jen Wang. Books will be available for pick up when you register.  Join us for a lively afternoon with Ms. Krista leading our discussion, everyone is welcome.  A link to our Zoom meeting room and a password will be sent to you prior to December 17.

Richard Paul’s Ho Ho Holiday Show
Comedy, music, puppets and some holiday magic for the entire family.  Puppets include: Frosty the Snowman, Rodney the Rat and Mrs. Clause.  Songs include Frosty the Snowman, Ho Ho Twist and a funky version of Oh Christmas Tree.  Registration is required on our website, everyone is welcome.

Kids of all ages are invited to pick up a bag full of fun crafts and activities to keep them busy during winter break. Bags will be available while supplies last, registration is not required.  Limit five bags per family.

Let’s Make Tamales!
Join “Fresh Food is Fun” virtually to make authentic Mexican tamales from start to finish.  Recipe and ingredients list will be emailed to participants prior to the class.  Geared for grades 4 through adult but everyone is welcome.  A fun evening for the whole family, registration is required.  Zoom details will be emailed prior to the program.

Teen Photo Contest
Local teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to submit a photo for a chance to win a gift card.  Photos will be judged in four categories:  Winter, Dexter, Anything Goes and Library Staffs’ Favorite.  Entrants are limited to one picture in each category.  Complete contest details will be emailed to registered participants.  Photographs will be displayed on the DDL Teen Services webpage and in the Library’s Teen Zone, but full names will not.  Winners will be announced on January 28.

DIY Paint with Tissue Paper
Tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12, get creative with this fun painting project.  Everything you need will be included in your bag for pickup, including supplies, instructions and YouTube links for inspiration.  Instructions for picking up your craft bag will be emailed to registered participants. Registration is Monday, January 4 through Sunday, January 17.  Craft bag pickup is January 20 through 30.

Virtual Winter Story Times
Winter Story Times for ages five and under will be offered on Tuesdays at 10:30 am on our DDL facebook page from January 5 to March 2.  Everyone is welcome to join Ms. Krista for a fun morning of picture, pop-up and interactive books, flannel-board stories, songs, puppets, finger plays and other activities that encourage a love of reading to your child.  Registration is not required.

Preschool Super Stories
Kids ages five and younger are invited to join Ms Krista this winter on our DDL facebook page every other Thursday at 11:00 am.  We will read a longer picture book and share an activity related to the book.  Everyone is welcome.  Dates:  January 14, January 28, February 11 and February 25

Join us for a repeat of this popular virtual program as we talk about the basic functions of a Cricut® machine and discuss which tools and materials are worth investing in.  A demonstration will be provided and samples of projects will be shared.  Time will be available at the end of the presentation for participants’ questions.  Recommended for grades 6 through adult, registration is required.  Zoom details will be emailed prior to the program.
