Dexter City Council will hold Public Hearings on Monday, Jan. 13

Residents wait their turn to voice their worries over kids crossing roads in Dexter

The Dexter City Council will hold the following Public Hearings on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the Dexter Senior Center (7720 Ann Arbor St):

Public Hearing #1 – The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment on proposed changes to the Fireworks Ordinance to revise the language regarding permissible dates and times for the ignition and discharge of consumer fireworks to be consistent with recent State of Michigan legislation.

Public Hearing #2 – The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment on proposed changes to the Coal Tar Based Sealer Products Ordinance. The proposed changes to this Ordinance include addition of definitions for pavement sealant, pavement sealant applicator, and clarification of existing language; deletion of Section 18-124 Asphalt Based Sealcoat Products; and the addition of language regarding enforcement of the Ordinance.
