Baseball: Chelsea rallies to edge Dexter 8-6 to take three-game “series”

The Dreadnaughts scored five runs in the third inning and led 6-5 before Chelsea rallied with three runs in the later innings to defeat the Dreads 8-6. It was the third game this week between the two rivals with the last one coming Wednesday at Dexter in an SEC White Division showdown. The two teams split a doubleheader on Monday.

The Bulldogs scored four runs in the top of the second before the Dreadnaughts put up a five spot on the board in third. Both teams scored a run in the fourth before Chelsea rallied for the win.

It wasn’t a pretty game from a defensive standpoint. Dexter had six errors and Chelsea committed three mishaps in the field.

Alex Mills led off Dexter with two hits, a run scored and an RBI. David Kreske, Evan Krolewski and Trevor Feeman each had hits.

The Dreads play two on Monday at Tecumseh.
