Boys Basketball: Dexter bounces Tecumseh for second straight victory

The Dexter boys’ basketball team welcomed Tecumseh to town Friday night but the Dreadnaughts, outside of letting the Indians score first, were not the nicest hosts – but all is fair in love and basketball. The Dreads fell behind 2-0 and then went on a 40-5 run on their way to an easy 63-30 win in an SEC White Division game.

The Dreadnaughts have now won two straight.

Dexter led 20-4 after the first quarter and 40-10 at halftime.

All but one Dexter player shot their way into the scorebook in the victory.

Junior guard Antwan Ficklen scored 11 of his team-high 15 points in the first quarter. Junior Marco Lucchesi knocked down a pair of three-pointers and finished with 10 points. Caden Doll, Bobby Pnacek, Chad Robards and Ryan Trinkle all scored six points.

The Dreadnaughts play at Adrian on Tuesday and host Jackson on Friday night.
