Week of 08-19-18

This week’s road construction updates for the Dexter area:

I-94 eastbound will be closed from M-14 to US-23 for the MDOT resurfacing project beginning 10:00 pm Friday, 08-17-18, until 5:00 am Monday, 08-20-18. Motorists can expect nightly lane and ramp closures along with weekend freeway closures for prep work and then resurfacing through November 1.

Dexter-Chelsea Rd between Freer Rd and Steinbach Rd will continue to have intermittent lane closure while a DTE gas line is replaced. Work is expected to be finished 10-01-18.

North Territorial Rd will have intermittent lane closures between Mast Rd and Donovan Rd for resurfacing beginning Monday, 08-20-18. The road will remain open but motorists are advised to find alternate routes due to delays from lane restrictions. Work is expected to be completed by 08-24-18.

Baker Rd continues to be closed for the installation of the two roundabouts at Dan Hoey Rd and Shield Rd. The project is scheduled to be completed 08-31-18. A detour is posted.

Baker Rd will be closed for milling and resurfacing from Dan Hoey Rd to Grand St beginning August 20. The project is expected to be completed 08-31-18.

Jackson Rd at Wagner Rd will have intermittent lane closures to improve pedestrian crossings. Work is expected to be finished 08-30-18.

Jackson Rd at Stabler Rd will have intermittent lane closures for the construction of a right-turn lane. The project is expected to be finished 08-30-18.

Mast Rd will be closed beginning 08-08-18 from North Territorial Rd to Strawberry Lake Rd for culvert replacement.  The project is scheduled to be completed mid-September.

Webster Church, Valentine, & Merrill Roads will have intermittent lane closures between North Territorial Rd and Barker Rd for tree trimming, ditch clearing, and road repair. Work is scheduled to be finished 08-24-18.

Dan Hoey Rd will remain closed for reconstruction that includes turning lanes for ease and efficiency of increased traffic flow with the new elementary school. Work is expected to be finished 09-2-18. This is a project of Granger Construction as part of the new elementary school construction.
