PHOTO STORY: 2018 Dexter Memorial Day Parade Wows Large Crowd

It was great weather for Dexter’s Memorial Day Parade and the people showed up as a result. Estimated at more than 9,000 people, Monday’s crowd was one of the biggest yet to line Main Street for the annual event. The parade, sponsored by Dexter Rotary, is a celebration of community but more importantly recognition and tribute for those who have served our country in the armed forces, our appreciation expressed in festivity and solemnity.

Participants in this year’s parades numbered around 1,000 and here are a few photos from around town and the parade.
