Dexter Township Internet Survey Fuels Effort For Better Broadband

Dexter Township has released the results from a survey of township residents regarding their internet service.

Adequate and reliable broadband has been an ongoing struggle for residents of Dexter Township. Trustee Mike Compton is heading up a committee to explore ways to improve internet service as it becomes more and more integrated into the needs of daily life.

The Broadband Committee distributed a survey to residents of Dexter Township last summer. The surveys were due September 14 and 725 surveys were returned. The results have been tabulated and the graphics are below.

One caveat to the Committee’s search is FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s claim that the recent repeal of Net Neutrality regulations will create better internet service for rural areas. A lot of us are hoping so.
