Softball: Dreads score 16-0 win over Eaton Rapids

The Dexter softball team scored seven runs in the third inning – and if that wasn’t enough – added six more in the fourth inning for a 16-0 win over Eaton Rapids on Thursday.

The Dreadnaughts pounded out 13 hits in the victory.

Katelyn Niswonger pitched the shutout, allowing only one hit in four innings. She had eight strikeouts in the win.
With one out in the first inning, Alexis Haley drove in two runs when she singled.

Dexter scored seven runs in the third inning. Dexter scored on a walk, an error, a single by Katy McWilliams, another error and a fielder’s choice by Haley.

Megan Niswonger, Niswonger, McWilliams, Haley, and Courtney Lupi each collected multiple hits for Dexter.
Haley had a huge game with four RBI and two hits.
