Tennis: Strong singles play leads Dreads over Farmington

The Dexter tennis team swept the four singles matches and posted a 5-3 win Monday over host Farmington High School.

At one singles, Erin Evans won 6-0, 6-0; at two singles, Rylee Kim won 6-1, 6-1; at three singles, Emily Herold won 6-2, 6-2; and at four singles, Lauren Filipiak won 6-0, 6-2.

The one doubles team of Andrea Hinz and Zoe Gaglis lost 6-5, 3-6 (9); the two doubles team of Grace Zadrzynski and Rika Schultze-Seeman lost 6-4, 6-5; and the three doubles team of Kristen Young and Maggie Tucker lost 6-4, 6-2.

The four doubles team of Sage Roperti and Sydney Holmes won 6-5, 6-4.

In two exhibition matches, the Dexter team of Courtney Palkowski and Hollie Pastorino lost as did the team of Isabella Butka and Kristi Scott.
