Swimming: Dreads have easy time with Lincoln, Erie Mason

The Dexter boys’ swimming team hosted a tri-meet on Jan. 12 and swam off with two victories. The Dreadnaughts defeated Lincoln 140-39 and Erie Mason 145-28.

The Dexter foursome of Alex Janosi, Alex Shehab, Will Blodgett and Sam Latshaw took first in the medley relay with a time of 1:49.74. The Dexter group of Henry Gaetino, Casey Dolen, Paul Schaefer and Kevin Kimmel took second in 1:51.35.

Dexter’s Stephen Sterlitz won the 200 free in 1:52.66 while Dolen won the individual medley in 2:03.12. The Dreads’ Sam Krahn won the 50 free in 24.24.

Dexter went one-two in diving with Kevin Flaherty first with 178.10 points and Merritt Stimac second with 135.30 points.

The Dreads swept the butterfly with Janosi in first (55.94), Blodgett in second (57.88) and Andrew Golin third (1:02.16). In the 100 free, Krahn took first in 52.78 with Latshaw in second in 53.64.

Dexter swept the 500 free with Sterlitz in first (5:00.06), Schaefer second (5:34.32) and Tanner Sharp third (5:34.81).

The fab four of Latshaw, Golin, Gaetino and Shehab took first in the 200 free relay in 1:37.19.
Dexter swept the backstroke with Janosi in first (59.27), Blodgett second (1:02.84) and Luke Sayler third (1:05.45).

Dolen won the breaststroke in 1:05.69 with Kimmel in second (1:09.27).

The Dexter foursome of Sterlitz, Larson, Kimmel and Mitchell Houghtaling won the 400 free relay in 3:40.05. The group of Sharp, Schaefer, Sayler and Aiden Anderson was second in 3:46.11.
