Tennis: Dreads bounce back with 8-0 win over Lincoln

After a tough loss to start the week, the Dexter tennis team bounced back with an 8-0 sweep of visiting Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dreadnaughts didn’t lose a set all day to the Railsplitters.

In singles, Billy Chesbrough defeated Jacob Kedroske 6-0, 6-2 at one; Jared Enciso defeated David Galvan 6-4, 6-2 at two; Brannon Wiegers defeated Brendan Williams 6-1, 6-2 at three; and Dylan Myers defeated James Glazier 6-2, 6-1 at four.

In doubles, Keogh/Kniesteadt defeated Morgan/Rickman 7-5, 6-4 at one; Higgins/Flaherty defeated DePriest/Carter 6-0, 6-3 at two; Vaughan/Needham defeated Kollar/Leidlein 6-0, 6-0 at three; and Blankenship/D. Wiegers defeated Wittkopp/Soya 6-0, 6-0 at four.

On Monday, Dexter fell to Milan 7-1.

The Dreadnaughts’ only win came at four doubles as the team of Snow/Higgins swept Barron/Merceica 6-2, 6-0.
