Sheriff Blotter June 14-21

Construction workers at a new housing site in the 5500 block of Arbor Chase Drive came to work June 16 to discover that they had been robbed. At 7:59 a.m., they called the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office to report building materials was missing. The material stolen includes an unspecified amount of wood, plywood and stones. Deputies have no suspects at the moment.

A house within walking distance of the country club in Barton Hills was broken into sometime overnight on Saturday, June 18. Deputies say a building in the 600 block of Country Club Road was broken into by an unknown burglar at and stole alcohol. There are no current suspects.

A customer parked in front of a business in the 5600 block of Jackson Road at 8:49 a.m., Saturday, June 18. The car the customer was driving was a Jeep with the roof and doors of the car taken off for the summer. When the driver returned to the Jeep they found that tools stored in the vehicle had been stolen. The business has security cameras, however, a Sheriff spokesperson said that the cameras were too far away to be useful. There are no suspects.

A 35 year old Ypsilanti man was arrested for domestic violence from a house in the start of the block of Peartree Lane at 7:33 p.m., June 18. Deputies removed the man and took him to the Washtenaw County Jail. Charges have been submitted for review with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.
