Sheriff Blotter June 7-14

A disgruntled employee left the 900 block of Zeeb Road after allegedly keying a car at around 1:45 p.m., Friday, June 10. According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, the employee has been identified as a 42-year-old woman from Ann Arbor. A criminal charge of malicious destruction of property has been submitted for review to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.

Employees at a gas station in the 2900 block of Baker Road contacted 911 to report what they suspected to be an attempt to tamper with one of its pumps sometime overnight on the evening of June 11 and into the morning of Sunday, June 12. Station employees feared that an unknown individual was attempting to tamper with the credit card reader to steal personal information from customers. Deputies are waiting for the manager to return from out of town to get access to security camera footage.

Three Dexter teenagers were pulled over at the corner of North Territorial and Woodhaven Roads for speeding at 4:48 p.m., Monday, June 13. The driver could not produce a driver’s license. The car was searched and deputies found alcohol, suspected marijuana and a number of prescription pills that could not be identified. Due to their age – 16, 17 and 18 respectively – the boys were turned over to their parents. Charges are possible, pending lab results on the prescription pills and suspected marijuana. If the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office goes ahead with charges, the 16-year-old would be charged as a minor. The 17 and 18-year-old males would be charged as adults.
