Motorists cruising into the sunset as they headed towards downtown Dexter Monday evening found their scenic ride detoured to the city’s side streets as Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputies had a block of Dexter-Ann Arbor Road from Inverness to Hudson closed down due to a car crash.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. a blue Ford Taurus sedan whose driver was operating on the clock as a delivery worker for the Dexter Cottage Inn was in a collision with a red Ford F-150 truck. It’s unclear which vehicle was at fault as of publish, although officials on the scene reported that no serious injuries were readily apparent.
The driver of the Taurus did have to have the door to the vehicle forced open before the Dexter Area Fire Department and Huron Valley Ambulance personnel could clear them from the vehicle and provide medical attention.
The incident report was not ready as of publish, as the DAFD personnel were in training both during the time of the crash and several hours later when contacted at Substation 1 for more information.
