Sheriff Blotter May 10-17 2016

Mail boxes around Dexter were smashed off their posts Friday night. Deputies from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office have concluded that someone using 15 to 25 pound landscaping rocks damaged the mail boxes around the area in what appears to be randomized vandalism.

“There’s no rhyme or reason,” to it, said a Sheriff’s spokesperson.

The four locations are spread across Dexter and Scio Townships. This happened everywhere from Jackson Road and Beacon Hill Drive, to Huron River Drive, and Block Ridge Line Circle. Deputies have no suspects.

In other news, deputies are seeking charges with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office against a 47-year-old man in Scio Township for domestic violence. This was over a 3 p.m. incident, Saturday, May 15, in the 3100 block of East Delhi Road. Due to the nature of the crime, the spokesman would make no further comment.
