The Dexter branch of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office dealt with an armed robbery in the city of Dexter this week, and several other minor crimes.
A 30 year old Ann Arbor man was involved in a one car crash at 7:51 p.m. Friday, February 5th. The man was still sitting in the car when deputies got there. According to crimemappers.com, this was a DUI crash. However, a sheriff’s spokesperson told We Love Dexter that the report was not yet finished.
A 22 year old Saline man was involved in a single car crash, Saturday, February 6th, at 9:22 a.m. While searching the man for ID, they found a bag of marijuana. The man was not intoxicated and released on the scenes, according to deputies, who are awaiting lab results.
The Mug and Bops gas station in downtown Dexter was robbed at gunpoint, Sunday, February 7th. As We Love Dexter reported in an earlier article, “a white male in his early 20s” entered the store at around 12:54 a.m. Deputies described him as dressed in all black. He made the clerk empty the entire cash register, then go to the beer cooler to get beer. The suspect fled on foot. As of Wednesday afternoon, deputies say they are still searching for a suspect.
Deputies were called to the 5800 block of Rollingwood Drive, Sunday, at 9:00 a.m. The owners of several cars parked on that street had their tires slashed. Deputies believe this happened sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
