Sheriff’s Blotter Jan. 12-20

The Dexter branch of the Washtenaw County Sheriff was called to the 3900 block of Miller Road at 11:08 p.m. on Jan. 12. Because this was a case of domestic violence, deputies wouldn’t say anything other than a 41-year-old male was arrested.

A 27-year-old South Lyon man crashed into a tree near the intersection of North Territorial and Mast roads,  Jan. 13. When deputies reached the scene at 9:05 p.m. they believed the driver was intoxicated. The driver failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail for a breath test. The man stayed in the jail overnight and they have submitted charges for review with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.

The owners of a house on the 6000 block of Block Hickory Lane were gone from Jan. 13-16. When they came back they found that one of their windows had been broken in. When they called the sheriff, they reported nothing was stolen. There are no suspects.

A mail box was reported stolen from a house on the 6100 block of Merkel Road at 11 a.m. Jan. 16. Deputies believe it happened sometime overnight. There are no suspects.
