Sheriff’s Blotter 12.1.2015

The Dexter branch of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office dealt with a number of incidents over Thanksgiving week.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 8300 block of Walsh Road, at 11:00 p.m. on the 25th, for an accusation of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct. The sheriff’s office said that they believe these accusations were “unfounded.” Because the case involves a juvenile, they refused to elaborate.

Deputies pulled over a 23 year old Monroe man on westbound I-94. This was near the Baker Road exit, at 1:36 a.m. on the 26th. Deputies say was driving erratically across lanes. When pulled over, the unidentified man failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail.

A car parked overnight on the 3600 block of View Drive was vandalized sometime overnight on the 26th. Deputies documented slashed tires and a bashed in window. Nothing is believed to have been stolen.

This is identical to the damage found on another car on the 3200 block of Broad Street, on the 27th. A car parked on the street overnight was found with a broken window and slashed tires. The sheriff’s office is looking in to the possibility of a link between the two.

A 41 year old Dexter man was pulled over for speeding on Dexter-Ann Arbor Road, at 7:15 p.m. on the 28th. Deputies say the man was intoxicated, admitted to have been drinking and was taken to the county jail.

A drunk driver on the 6000 block of Joy Road rolled their car at 4:39 a.m. on the 29th. The sheriff’s office says deputies found it on its side. The driver was a 23 year old Dexter male, who admitted to using alcohol and marijuana. He was taken to the U of M hospital for “minor injuries.” Blood work taken at the hospital has been state for the lab for analysis.
