Parks and Recreation Public Input Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking public input for the 5-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Commission will be hosting a live Public Input Session for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 6:30pm at the Dexter District Library (3255 Alpine St.).

In addition to the Public Input Session, as of October 31st, the Parks and Recreation Commission has gathered 131 survey responses out of its 300 response goal. Please help us reach our target. This 5-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan will chart the course for the City’s parks and recreation services for the next five years. The Master Plan Survey may be taken online until Monday, November 30, 2015 at: It is also available upon request in hard-copy format at the City office (8123 Main St., 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130), the Dexter Senior Center, and the Cedars clubhouse.

Those who participate in the survey have a chance to receive a gift card from Hackney Hardware, vouchers for the Dexter Bakery, or a free class with Verapose Yoga. For more information, please contact Justin Breyer, Assistant to the City Manager, by e-mail at or by phone at 734-426-8303 x 17.
