Swimming: Dreads have huge lineup lined up for state finals

The Dexter girls’ swimming and diving team will be lining up at the Division 2 state finals meet at Oakland University on Friday and Saturday.

Both days splash off at noon and the Dexter Dreadnaughts will be well represented. And of the 12 Dreadnaughts headed to the state finals, six are only sophomores.

Here is Dexter’s state finals starting lineup:

Grace Kacmarek (10): 200 IM, 500 free

Amelia Kinnard (10): 200 IM, 100 back, 400 free relay

Sarah Lynch (12): 100 free, 100 back, 400 free relay

Lizzy Merriman (12): 200 medley relay, 200 IM, 200 free relay, 100 breast

Kate Mesaros (12): 200 medley relay, 200 IM, 200 free relay, 100 breast

Hannah Quist (10): 50 free, 200 free relay

Annette Schultz (10): 200 medley relay, 200 free, 100 free, 400 free relay

Gretchen Schultz (12): 200 medley relay, 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay

Popi Vorias (10): diving

Danielle Westman (11): 500 free

Kaylee Witte (12): diving

Sarah Zofchak (10): 200 free, 500 free, 400 free relay
