Soccer: Dreadnaughts preparing for Districts

In closing league play, the Dexter soccer team finished on the road with a scoreless tie against Tecumseh, a 1-0 loss to Chelsea and a forfeit in their favor against Jackson Lumen Christi.

Dexter takes a 13-6-2 record on the road for a non-countable SEC match at Ann Arbor Huron on Wednesday.

Districts begin with the Dreads traveling to Parma Western on Oct. 20 for a 6 p.m. match.

“We have been playing well over the last few games but have we’ve had a stretch of bad luck,” said Dreadnaught Coach Scott Forrester. “The guys are approaching it in a professional manor. Though disappointed in not winning the program’s ninth overall league championship and fourth straight, these young men are eager to finish the season on a positive note and head into tournament play with the pedal to the metal.”
