Police responded to a domestic assault in the 3000 block of Fieldstone Drive, on the morning of September 28. Because the case involves a minor, the sheriff’s office said they could not say any more.
A 19 year old Dexter man drove off the road near the corner of Dexter-Chelsea Road and Parker Road, early in the morning of September 29. Police found that he was operating the car with a blood alcohol level of more than 0.17 percent. Blood samples have been sent to the state police for analysis. He was taken to U of M Hospital for minor injuries.
There was another drunk driving case on the corner of Baker and Jackson Roads, at 10:52 p.m., September 30. A 52-year-old Ann Arbor man also lost control of his vehicle and police found he was driving intoxicated. He was also sent to the hospital with minor injuries, and blood work was sent to the state police to be analyzed.
The Portage Lake Trading Post was burglarized sometime in the night, on October 1.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office says that they were alerted October 2 that “numerous bottles of alcohol” were stolen. Unspecified forensic evidence has been sent for testing with the state police.
There was a further domestic assault in the 500 block of Apricot Lane, on October 4. which Washtenaw County Sheriff Sgt. Geoff Fox said the sheriff’s office would not elaborate other than that fact that the incident occurred at 5:16 a.m.
There was a report of an assault on the 7900 block of Grand Street, on October 5, at 11:44 p.m. However, the investigation is not finished and Fox said that the case is likely going to be reclassified as something other than an assault. But because the investigation is ongoing, he couldn’t say what it would be reclassified as.
