Washtenaw local favorite jazz guitarist Jake Reichbart will be at Monument Park this evening performing the same music that put him on the map during WEMU-FM’s Emily Remler scholarship competition in 1991.
Since winning that and other accolades, Reichbart has played his music for two US presidents and at three Michigan Governor’s Inaugural Balls. He is a regular performer at The Earle in Ann Arbor. Reichbart says that he likes small performances and enjoys long-term relationships with dedicated fans who share his passion for music.
With more than 4,600 gigs under his belt, visitors to Monument Park this evening are in for a treat. Those who may not be familiar with Reichbart, but are familiar with names like Joe Pass, Tuck Andress and Tommy Emmanuel should take confidence from the knowledge that those performers are his main influences.
