Rain or Shine: Dexter Garden Club’s 2015 Green Day Draws Considerable Crowd

Grey skies and spring sprinkles weren’t enough to keep the crowds away from this year’s Green Day event at Monument Park.

Dexter Garden Club members held their yearly plant sale in the heart of Dexter this morning, while event sponsors LaFontaine Chevrolet and Bloom! Garden Center offered information on green vehicles and demonstrations on how to build raised garden beds, respectively.

Read about how Dexter Green Day came to be in an earlier published post.

Students sold compost and plants at Creekside, Mill Creek and Monument Park, while the Ann Arbor Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society and the Michigan Dahlia Association were selling their respective plants of choice at Dexter Mill.

The below photo gallery covers most of the major participants of Green Day, which also included the unveiling of a new local company called Blackdown Shepherd Huts.
