Are you ready for Dexter’s ‘Green Day’ this weekend?

The Dexter Garden Club’s marquee event, “Dexter Green Day,” is just days away at this point.

Event organizers recently published a flier with a list of event sponsors and a schedule of the various presentations and sales that comprise the sprawling celebration of all things green this Saturday (embedded on this page below).

Bloom! Garden Center is the major sponsor of this year’s Green Day. Specialists from the garden center on 1885 Baker Road will be providing free workshops throughout the day starting at 9 a.m. in Monument Park.

Folks from Creekside will also be hosting a plant sale at 2615 Baker Road in the Southside parking lot, as well as at the gazebo downtown. The Creeksiders will have tomatoes, hot peppers, broccoli, pumpkins, squash, and a whole lot more available. All proceeds go towards the Creekside Garden and Kitchen Classroom Program.

The Ann Arbor Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will be selling quality rhododendrons at the Dexter Mill starting at 9 a.m. Society members will also be on hand to educate visitors on the many positive qualities of the gorgeous rhododendron, as well as how to plant and care for them.

The Michigan Dahlia Association will also be at the Dexter Mill providing similar opportunities for dahlia lovers or those on the garden fence about planting and keeping dahlias.
