See photos of the Dexter Community School District’s visit to China

Earlier this week a delegation of Dexter Community School district administrators officially signed a sister school agreement with China’s NE Yucai High School.

Later in the week, Superintendent Chris Timmis signed a similar agreement with Chongqing Nankai Secondary School, which sits in a province which 30 million Chinese citizens call home.

“The school services the top students in Congqing and is the best school in the province,” Timmis said via social media chat this week. “The school looks like a college campus. It’s absolutely beautiful.”

During their Chongqing visit, the secondary school students were studying for upcoming AP physics and statistics exams, which is probably what many Dexter and Saline students are preparing for halfway around the globe, Timmis said.

The below photos were also sent to from Timmis via social media, in an effort to share an inside view of the Chinese education system with Dexter Community School district residents.
