Around Town: Things to do around town March 20-26

This week’s events include a lot of opportunities to give back to some of our local athletes and charities. Check out these great local events March 20 through 26. Friday, March 20 Fish Fry: Head down to the Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall for their weekly Lenten Fish Fry Fridays. The dinner lasts from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and features an all-you-can-eat buffet. Tickets are$10 for adults, $6 for children and $9 for takeout meals. Saturday, March 21 Chelsea Lacrosse Fundraiser: Help contribute to the Chelsea Lacrosse team’s expenses with a full dinner and raffle. The $35 ticket gets you dinner, beverages and door prizes. There will also be several raffles. Contact Joe Koengeter at 734-323-4860 or jkoengeter@yahoo.com for more information. The dinner starts at 5 p.m. at the Dexter Knights of Columbus Hall. Sunday, March 22 Quarter Mania: Gather up your quarters and head down to the Dexter Knights of Columbus Hall to bid on crafts, jewelry and more all for bids less than $1. All proceeds will benefit the St. Louis House in Chelsea. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26 History and Legends: Turkey, Greece and the Islands: Curious about past cultures? Head to the Dexter District Library to hear Al and David Eicher revist the history and myths of Turkey and Greece through photos.
