Around Town: Things to do in Dexter March 6-12

This week’s events include beer and books – sounds like my kind of weekend! Check out what’s going around town from March 6 to 12.

Friday, March 6

Fish Fry: Head down to the Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall for their weekly Lenten Fish Fry Fridays. The dinner lasts from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and features an all-you-can-eat buffet. Tickets are$10 for adults, $6 for children and $9 for takeout meals.

Saturday, March 7

Dexter Forum: Stop in at 8:30 a.m. at the Dexter Wellness Center to discuss current issues effecting the city, region and state.

Used Book Sale: Unload all the books you’ve read this winter and grab new ones for the spring at this month’s Used Book Sale at the Dexter District Library. The sale starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m.

Sunday, March 8

Slow Ride Session: Build a six-pack carrier from reclaimed wood and try the newest New Belgium Brewing Company beers at The Beer Grotto. Tickets are free and the six-packs are complimentary space is limited, so to reserve your space email Attendees should be 21-years-old or over. Event begins at 4 p.m. More info here.

Thursday, March 12

Preschool Open House: Considering having your little one attend the Dexter Co-Op Preschool? Well on March 12 you’ll have a chance to check out the facility from 6 to 8 p.m.
