Absolute Computer Services hops from Main over to Broad

Locally-owned computer store Absolute Computer Services has moved from Main Street to a new location at 3238 Broad St. Suite 102.

Principal Tom Foote said Monday morning that he and owner Joe Nowak decided to move to the new location for a number of reasons, including the uncertain direction that the building that they were previously housed in would take after the closure of anchor business Huron Camera.

“We’re definitely going to miss the exposure being on Main Street, but we’re not going to miss the parking situation there,” Foote said. “We had an opportunity to lease the (3238 Broad Street) space and the timing was right, so we made the move.”

Foote added that they’ll miss being in the space where Absolute Computer Services got its start in Dexter years ago, but he and Nowak are certain that their company will continue to thrive. Years after opening Absolute Computer Services expanded to include Absolute Internet Services. The business has seen robust success over the years and its owners are active members of the Dexter community. Nowak himself is a past Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce President and board member.
