Family and friends of 23-year-old Jordan Hopkins will have a chance to pay their respects and grieve a terrible loss to the communities of Dexter, Ypsilanti and Washtenaw County as a whole.
Hopkins and Shannise Heady — Hopkins’ friend and classmate — died in an auto accident in Ypsilanti during the early hours of January 25.
Hopkins was well regarded by the Eastern Michigan University Honors College and Psychology Department, as well as educators she came into contact with prior to college. Her friend was also a well regarded student-athlete.
Hopkins was born in Ypsilanti on Nov. 21, 1991 to Stephen H. and Dona L. (Rocchietti) Hopkins.
Visitation is from 4–8 p.m. this Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gift of Life Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
