You’re Invited To Dexter’s Ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve Service

Dexter area churches are coming together once again for the annual Thanksgiving Eve Ecumenical Service.

This year’s service, held Wednesday evening, begins at 7 pm and is hosted by St. James Episcopal Church located at 3279 Broad Street.

“Ecumenical” is one of those big theological words but the meaning is quite simple: a number of churches coming together to form one body. And that is exactly what our churches are doing – coming together for one doctrine they all can agree on – giving thanks.

Reverend Tom Snyder of Dexter United Methodist Church will be speaking. Others will be participating in music and other activities. Consider yourself warmly invited to the inaugural event intended to set a grateful tone for the Thanksgiving weekend.
