WinterBerry Fair Offers Local Works For a Global Cause

Dexter United Methodist Church is hosting their annual WinterBerry Fair this Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 AM to 2 PM at their church located at 7643 Huron River Dr.

WinterBerry Fair, a fundraiser for missions, features the offerings of local artists, cottage food crafters as well as avid hobbyists in a variety of interests. Healthy snacks, maple syrup, cookies by the pound, photos, paintings, and other works are available for purchase to perhaps provide a unique gift for the holidays.

In addition to the artisan element of the Fair, a section called “Granny’s Attic” offers donated items for resale – an indoor yard sale of sorts featuring gently used items in good condition.

New to this year’s WinterBerry Fair is the organization, “Buy the Change”, who sells handmade crafts from around the globe sending the profits back to their communities.

So if you just don’t know what to get “that certain someone” for Christmas, chances are you’ll find some great ideas at the Fair. Purchases not only directly benefit the Dexter community, but also beyond out into the world.
