Who Really Uses Drugs in Washtenaw County?

The question, “Who Really Uses Drugs in Washtenaw County?” will be answered on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 pm at the Dexter District Library.
Join Commander Marlene Radzik, Police Services Commander and Community Outreach Worker Ashton Marr from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office for a discussion of the state of youth drug use in Washtenaw County. Radzik and Marr will also discuss prevention measures that can help parents help their children avoid drugs and alcohol as well as activities that have been successful in steering kids into positive lifestyles.
This program is held in conjunction with the Library’s 2015 Community Read, which features the book “Hole in My Life,” the autobiography by children’s author Jack Gantos. This year’s community Read focuses on the Five Healthy Towns Foundation pillar of ‘Avoid Unhealthy Substances.’ Free Community Read books will be available at this program. The Community Read is made possible through grant funding from the Dexter Wellness Coalition and the Five Healthy Towns Foundation (formerly the Chelsea Wellness Foundation.) 2015_CR_Gantos-book-5Hlogo
