The TravelCenters of America, or “TA” location, at 200 Baker Road would like to show the public its appreciation next Tuesday at noon.
Dexter’s TA station has undergone various capital improvements to bolster non-fuel sales and build a following in the local community, the latest of which has been the complete overhaul of the Country Pride Restaurant, which now includes a new salad bar in addition to a considerable remodel of the kitchen and dining area.
“It’s been completely redone — we’re very proud and excited for the public to come out Tuesday for the grand re-opening,” said Rhonda Ballard, the restaurant’s assistant manager.
The restaurant will be front an center during the event, serving as the venue for a celebration luncheon. Tours of the TA facility will be provided to attendees who wish to see one of the Dexter area’s largest retail businesses firsthand.
The event is also part of TravelCenters of America’s month-long observance and celebration of truck driver appreciation week, which begins this Sunday, September 13 and runs through to September 19.
The company has been expanding for several years now, thanks largely to increasing non-fuel sales across 252 travel centers and 79 gasoline stations/convenience stores in North America.
TravelCenters of America has earned $39.5 million more in non-fuel sales from its continental chain of locations during the first half of the company’s current fiscal year.
