Swimming: Dreads splash their way past Pioneer

The Dexter swimming and diving team knocked off perennial swimming powerhouse Ann Arbor Pioneer last week at Dexter with a convincing 110-75 victory.

Dexter got things rolling right away as the team of Jordan Maisch, Annette Schultz, Amelia Kinnard and Hannah Quist took first in the medley relay with a time of 1:52.05.

In the 200 freestyle, Grace Kacmarek swam second in 2:02.41.

Sarah Zofchak swam second in the IM for the Dreads with a time of 2:16.76.

Schultz sprinted to first place in the 50 free with a time of 24.50. Quist landed in third in 25.77.
Nicole France was second in diving with 154.35 points.

Kacmarek won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.58.

Schultz swam to a first place in the 100 free with a time of 53.21. Amelia Kinnard grabbed third in 54.65.

Zofchak was second in the 500 free with a time of 5:22.39 while Danielle Westman placed third in 5:41.62.
The Dexter fab four of Allison Wyka, Madeline Kaufman, Quist and Zofchak took second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:47.36.

Kinnard won the backstroke in 58.85 with Maisch in third (1:02.57).

Zoe Michos was second in the breaststroke for Dexter with a time of 1:14.86.

Dexter’s 400 free relay team of Kacmarek, Kinnard, Zofchak and Schultz took first in 3:45.16.
