Those who value the good community work done at the St. Louis Center in Chelsea will have a chance to back up their admiration with financial support by participating in “Quarter Mania” on September 23.

So what is Quarter Mania, you may be wondering?

It’s a cross between a home party and an auction. There will items from 18 vendors and five area non-profits, including the Knights of Columbus, the Webster Fall Festival organizers, and various churches. As the name implies, these auctions are done in one to four quarter increments.

There are other intricacies to this particular style of auction that organizers promise they will teach the uninitiated on the fly at the event, which is being held starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday September 23 at the Columbus Hall (formerly the Knights of Columbus Hall) at 8265 Dexter-Chelsea Road.

For more information on the event, including the various vendors that will be present see the below embedded press release from the Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

The St. Louis Center is a caring, residential, family living and learning environment providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  More information about the St. Louis Center can be found at www.stlouiscenter.org.
