Soccer: Dreadnaughts continue to roll

Dexter played host to Western (Parma) on Saturday and continued their run of shutout-mercy victories while extending their record to 6-0-0.

Scoring four goals in the first half, and another four in the second, the Dreads posted their third 8-0 result. Emily Zeitunian led the victors with three goals and an assist.

Solo goals were scored by Morgan Esch, Beth Pederson, Emma Ripka, Alice Kadhammer and Riley Doll. Kadhammer also had an assist, along with Hannah Tarnaski, Sammi Corcoran and Louisa Judge.

Caitlin Micallef was forced into one save in goal for the Dreads as everything else was taken care of by the stingy Dexter defense.

The Dreadnaughts return to league play as they host Tecumseh on Tuesday and Chelsea on Thursday. Both days the JV match kicks off at 4 p.m. and the varsity begins around 5:30 p.m. at the high school field.
