Naturalist Endeavors Presents “Portable Pond Ecology” at Dexter District Library

On Tuesday July 21, Randy Baker from Naturalist Endeavors will visit Dexter District Library to present two hands-on educational programs. School-age kids of all ages will learn about the different kinds of ponds, the types of animals that live in the ponds and what makes each pond unique. Naturalist Randy Baker brings a variety of live small pond creatures from multiple ponds. Students will have a chance to be scientists, get their hands wet, make observations, capture and sort the small creatures and learn the importance of our wetland habitats. Portable Pond Ecology will present two sessions, limited to 25 participants for each session:
11:00 a.m. for kids going into Grades 1 through 3
1:00 p.m. for kids going into Grades 4 through 6
