Jeffords Street was the place to be if you like classic or just plain cool cars and trucks that are rare and owned by folks who lovingly tune and polish them to near perfection inside and out.
After debuting last year on the Lafontaine Chevrolet lot on Dan Hoey and Ann Arbor Street off the beaten path during Dexter Daze, the folks at LaFontaine worked with the Dexter Daze committee to bring the show into a more central downtown location.
With much of what had previously been situated on Jeffords in previous years moved to Mill Creek Park North, formerly Warrior Creek Park, near Dexter Area Fire Department Station 1 and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office Substation, Jeffords was the perfect wide open swath of pavement, curbs, and sidewalk for a small army of vehicles that counted among their ranks classic Impalas, Mustangs, and Chevys to name a few.
Aside from a couple of vehicles squatting on spots from the previous night, the show was a success, said LaFontaine Dexter Business Development Manager Quaila Pant.
“We’re very happy with the turnout this year both of classic car owners and visitors coming to see them,” Pant said. “This is a great spot to showcase these gorgeous vehicles. We’re thankful to everyone involved in working with us to make this year’s car show at Dexter Daze a success.”
The car show winners are pictured above. Their names and the specific make, model, and year of their winning vehicles will be published as soon as we receive that information from the event organizers.
Below are photos taken of the car show in progress prior to the judging and issuing of the awards.
