Former Dexter Community Schools employee suspected of stealing tech equipment

A former employee is being investigated for stealing technology equipment from Dexter Community Schools, according to a report from The Ann Arbor News.

According to the original report, Superintendent Chris Timmis said the suspect in the case, who’s name is currently being withheld, left the district in late 2014.

The district began taking a look at it’s technology inventory in 2011 after noticing inconsistencies. Officials then hired an outside technology firm to come in and investigate and found the missing equipment to likely be a case of theft. Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the ongoing case.
