Football: Dexter ends season with loss to Jackson Parma Western

The Dexter football team concluded its second straight losing season last Friday with a 28-0 loss to Jackson Parma Western. The Dreads finished the season 0-9 overall including 0-5 in the SEC White Division.

Dexter has won only two games in the last four seasons and haven’t won a football game since a 26-21 win over Adrian on Sept. 20, 2013.

The Dreads fell behind 7-0 in the first quarter and trailed 14-0 at halftime. Western scored its first TD on a 99-yard pass play midway through the first quarter. They added a TD on a 5-yard pass play early in the second quarter.
Western put the game away with a 59-yard punt return and a 10-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Dexter was outgained 378-118 in total yards and had two turnovers in the loss.

George Deljevic was 5 of 19 passing for 56 yards with two picks. Ethan Stairs had 19 rushes for 57 yards and Ryan Flattery had three catches for 45 yards.

Will Feldkamp had 7.5 tackles, Joey Hiser had 6.5 tackles and Brian Kramer had five tackles.
