Dexter came in second place in Division 1 with a team average GPA of 3.9575.

The team ended their season with strong performances at the state finals on November 1st at Michigan International Speedway. Freshman Danielle Waidley came in 33rd in her age group, Jordan McGinnis came in 53rd in the sophomore backet, Junior Alison McLean placed 13th among juniors, and seniors Alexandra Amman and Charlotte Read placed 30th and 41st (respectively) among seniors.

Coach Cheryl McLean commented: “I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of these talented girls. This accomplishment does not surprise me. They are an amazing group of student athletes and it shows with their SEC championship, 2nd in the Region, and 17th in Division 1 MHSAA State Finals. I’m looking forward to another amazing season in 2015.”

Athletic Director Mike Bavineau added: “Dexter Student Athletes have a tradition of striving for success in the classroom and on the field. Congratulations to the women’s cross country team for their hard work and this recognition.”
