Dexter High School Drama Club Opens ‘Grease’ Jan. 30

Don’t forget your comb! The T-Birds and The Pink Ladies are coming to Dexter at the end of the month for a series of six performances of the ever-popular “Grease.”

The musical takes place in the late 1950s at Rydell High school, revolving around a greaser named Danny Zuko, and Sandra Dee, a girl who falls head-over-heels in love with him during summer vacation.

“Grease” is being put on by the Dexter High School Drama Club as their winter musical.

The production is being directed by Erin Palmer. Sandra Dee will be played by Alexis Benson and Chelsea Kearns. Danny Zuko will be played by Dan Laird. A full list of the cast and crew can be found here.

“Grease” will be performed at the Center for the Performing Arts, located next to Dexter High School at 2200 N. Parker Road in Dexter.

The show opens Friday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. Other shows times are: Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for students and seniors are $8. Adult tickets cost $10. All tickets for general seating will be sold at the door. There are no advanced ticket sales or reserved seats.
