Dexter chamber seeks input from businesses

The Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce has sent out a call for feedback from business-owners in the Dexter area on how the organization is doing overall, in addition to asking more specific questions about particular events or whether or not a survey-taker would recommend the chamber to a fellow business-owner.

Chamber officials have installed an online survey that anyone with the following link can access and take.

“The survey is very brief and the responses we have received so far have given us invaluable insight into how we can further develop how we do things going forward,” said Chamber President Kim Covert. ”

Covert assumed the top leadership role at the DACC late last year, adding those duties to her existing work in the Dexter Community Schools district as director of Community Education.

“We want our members to know that we appreciate their support and want to do the best that we can to serve them,” Covert said. “Most of the events and activities that make Dexter special are supported by local businesses. We as a chamber are not only trying to bring more businesses on as members. This is about redoubling our partnership with our existing membership in order to do things better, or perhaps to do something entirely new.”
