It was a relatively quiet week for the city of Dexter, however, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s office did have two incidents to report.

On Saturday, July 15, an act of larceny occurred at the 8100 block of 5th St. At 7:00 pm that evening, a woman left her purse in an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway. According to Sgt. Fox, the suspect stole the purse, went through it and took the cash. The suspect then left the purse on the ground down the street. He or she has not yet been identified.

The second of the two incidents took place early Sunday morning at approximately 5:20 a.m. In a case that’s still under investigation, a landscaping brick was thrown through a window into a home at the 8400 block of Parkridge Dr. The suspect is unknown.
