Dexter Community Fund Holds Video Premier Nov. 29

We are excited to announce the November release of DCF’s video – For good. For ever. For Dexter. The video beautifully showcases Dexter and features Dexter residents and community leaders who describe why they love Dexter and want to keep it a vibrant community into the future. The video’s production was made possible by our generous corporate sponsors LaFontaine Chevrolet and Bank of Ann Arbor.

The Video Preview Party is certain to be fun and will allow attendees to mingle with other community members committed to investing in our local community. Doug and Laura Kelly have generously agreed to donate $100 to the Dexter Community Fund for every adult who attends this event! Please join us at this exciting community event.

The Dexter Community Fund (DCF) is an Endowment Fund for the Dexter Community that has been established at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) to enrich the quality of life in the Dexter area. The DCF is a source of community capital that will be available to support and invest in a wide range of initiatives and non-profit organizations in the arts and culture, education, the environment, youth, senior services, health and wellness, human services, and/or community improvement. As a fund at AAACF, it benefits from AAACF’s professional program staff, fund management and investment expertise. Our goal is to raise $2 million by 2020. This will allow the Dexter Community Fund to make grants of $60,000 to $80,000/year to fund community initiatives and local non-profit organizations to address critical areas of need and enhance the quality of life within our community.
